Recently, one of our surveyors, Matthew Stephen Arnold, had a remarkable full-circle experience while completing an identification survey on Fifteenth Avenue, Palm Beach.
As he reviewed the lot details — Lot 725 on RP120527 — he discovered the original survey plan dated back to November 1968, was completed by his uncle, Michael David George Arnold, who founded Arnolds Development Consultants with his brother Stephen John Arnold.
Needing adjoining boundary information, Matthew accessed the plan across the street — RP124733 — only to realise it was surveyed in January 1970 by Stephen John Arnold, who is the father of surveyor Matthew Arnold and Arnolds current Director, Michael Geoffrey Arnold.
Over 50 years later, the next generation — brothers Matthew and Michael — find themselves literally following in their uncle and fathers footsteps, on the same streets, using the same skills, and continuing the legacy that began decades ago.
