🎯 What We’re Looking For
- Arnolds requires a Senior Land Surveyor who will be integral to project managing and mentoring teams of Surveyors to deliver projects for our clients;
- The successful applicant will become a leader in Arnolds’ Surveying Team and will contribute to multidisciplinary project outcomes across Queensland and Northern New South Wales;
- The successful applicant will be responsible for managing both project outcomes and client expectations under the supervision and mentorship of Arnolds’ Managing Director.
- The successful applicant will be responsible for projects ranging in both size and complexity, in order to meet client requirements and maintain a high level of client satisfaction and profitability.
- As a Senior Surveyor you will be additionally responsible for assisting Arnolds’ Surveying Team in growing and developing, building the client base and further project workload through proactive customer interaction and business development.
- with offices currently in Brisbane and the Gold Coast the successful applicant may need to travel if required.
✅ What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Answerable to Arnolds’ Managing Director.
- Investigations into the highest and best use for development sites and property in general.
- Land use & titling strategy creation inferred through client requirements, site constraints and legislative analysis.
- Provision of quotes and invoicing to clients.
- Prepare and attend meetings with Local and State Government Departments, as required and negotiate positive outcomes for clients.
- Survey Plan Sealing and condition compliance reporting.
- Expert Witness and Planning and Environment Actions: Potential liaison with P&E Lawyers, Architects, Engineers, Town Planners, Environmental Experts and Landscape professionals.
💰 What You’ll Get
- Full-time salaried position: AUD $145,000–$170,000 per year depending on experience.

📚 Professional Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- Formal Land Surveying Qualifications. Either an Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Registration as a Surveyor with the Surveyors Board of Queensland or equivalent Registration with an equivalent Board from another State of Australia or from New Zealand.
- Good understanding of Land & Planning legislation in Queensland, or an ability equivalent to this in another like jurisdiction.
- Good understanding with respect to Titles Queensland’s requirements for the preparation of plans in Queensland.
- Good understanding of the cadastral surveying requirements in Queensland with respect to relevant legislation, associated regulations and policy, as per the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development.

📍 Location
Based primarily in Robina, Gold Coast QLD (Office: Robina, QLD 4226). Alternative office location: Brisbane, QLD 4000. Projects may require travel across Queensland and Northern NSW.
